What is Memphis Linux?

Memphis Linux is a privacy-first, security-hardened operating system built on Alpine Linux and developed by Khwarizm Consulting. It comes in three editions — Neithotep for families, Pro for professionals, and Business for organizations — and none of them collect any data.

Is Memphis Linux free?

Yes. Neithotep and Pro are free downloads; the Business Edition is licensed through our sales team.

Which edition is right for me?

Neithotep for family computers, Pro for work and business, Business for organizations that need managed, hardened fleets.

Can I switch from Windows or macOS easily?

Yes. The desktop feels familiar from day one, and standard file formats mean your documents come with you.

Can I install Memphis Linux alongside Windows (dual boot)?

No. Memphis Linux uses the entire disk: installation erases everything on the computer, including Windows and all existing files. Give it a dedicated computer — and back up anything you want to keep before installing.
